Solomon Seal is from a genus of about 50 speies of flowering plants. It is placed in the Asparagaceae family.
Traditionally used for many medicinal uses from menopause to broken bones. The roots are said to assist with skin irritations and when used as a face wash good for acne. In the 1930 Hedwig Langecker observed it was effective in fighting nutritional hyperglycemia, but as a plant it is a very old cottage garden plant. The plants like it best in woodland conditions.
